The Stratton Mountain area is having a terrific ski season so far! Cold nights and many sunny days have Stratton Mountain Ski Resorts open 100% of the time. The area has been doing well in real estate as well. The number of Home and Condo pending and closed sales from Oct 2008 to Martin Luther King weekend was 30 and since then has increased to 35. This is a 16% increase!
A highlight over the Martin Luther King Weekend was the Stratton Foundation's Men Who Cook. There were 60 local men who prepared tapas style food for as many as 400 guests. The food ranged from Sushi, ribs and salads to incredible homemade deserts. Stratton Mountain offers great activities for adults and children with the next great function being the Romp to Stomp on Jan 31st, which is a fundraiser for Susan B Komen. Individuals and teams will snow shoe around a 3 to 5 mile course, either racing or just walking and chatting. Hope to see you there!
